Israeli troops have carried out a large-scale arrest raid in the West Bank city of Nablus, surrounding a building and detaining at least four people, Palestinian security officials have said. About 20 army vehicles drove into Nablus before dawn, and the sound of explosions and gunfire could be heard for several hours, residents said. Adli Yaaish, Nablus mayor said: "The Israeli army has surrounded a big area in Nablus city and forced children and women out of their houses despite the extremely cold weather".
